This Privacy Policy explains what information SiteSnap collects, how we use it, and who we share it with.

1. Information we collect

• Account information: your email address and password (stored as a secure hash, never in plain text).
• Site content: the business details, text, and images you enter to build your website.
• Payment information: handled entirely by Stripe — we never see or store your card details ourselves.
• Basic technical data: standard server logs (like IP address and request timestamps) generated by normal operation of the Service.

2. How we use it

• To create and operate your account and publish your site.
• To process payments and manage subscriptions, through Stripe.
• To send account-related emails, such as password resets.
• To keep the Service secure and prevent abuse.

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use your site content for advertising.

3. Who we share it with

We share information only with the service providers that power SiteSnap, each acting on our behalf:

• Stripe — payment processing and billing.
• Cloudinary — stores images you upload to your site.
• Resend — delivers transactional emails like password resets.
• Railway — hosts the application, database, and custom domain/SSL provisioning.

We don't share your information with anyone else except where required by law.

4. Your published site is public

Anything you choose to put on a published website — business details, images, contact info — is publicly visible to anyone who visits that site, by design.

5. Data retention and deletion

We keep your account and site data for as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account, all your saved sites, and cancel any active subscription at any time from My Account. This action can't be undone.

6. Security

Passwords are stored using one-way hashing. Traffic to the Service is encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

7. Your choices

You can update your account details, delete individual sites, or delete your entire account at any time from My Account, without needing to contact us.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
